Applications of the Internet of Things (IoT)

IoT applications work on IoT devices and can be created for almost every industry and vertical environment, including health care, industrial changes, smart homes and buildings, automotive and wearable technologies. Increasingly, IoT systems are using AI and machine learning to add ingenuity to devices.

1) Agriculture

Smart farms are real. Soil quality is important for producing good crops, and the Internet of Things gives farmers access to detailed information and valuable information about the condition of their soil.

With IoT sensors, significant data can be obtained. Information such as soil moisture, acidity, nutrient availability, temperature, and many other chemical factors, helps farmers to control irrigation, speed up water use, determine the best time to start planting, and even detect plant and soil diseases.

2) Hospitality

The use of IoT in the hotel industry also brings attractive improvements in service quality.

Smart devices convert ordinary glasses into personal ones, interactive information channels to enable visitors to manage hotel room activities, leisure, and entertainment. With a simple touch, guests can contact the hotel services and access information, including local, climate, and traffic.

By using connected thermostats, hotels can adapt room temperature in and out of the guest room eliminating the cost of cooling or heating unoccupied rooms. Connecting thermostats and other sensors when visitors open the window or balcony air conditioning turns off automatically, automatic window coverage closes on time afternoon sunlight to reduce temperature changes.

IoT care protection programs identify resources or equipment before they become expensive problems. In guest rooms, sensors can monitor HVAC systems as well automatically notify when the units start failure.

3) Self-driven Cars

There are a lot of self-driving cars, like Google, Tesla, and even Uber came up with the latest self-driving car. As it is the lives of people on the roads we face, we need to ensure that technology has everything it needs to ensure the best safety for the passenger and those on the roads.

Sensors and embedded systems are used in cars, that is connect to the cloud and internet to data production and eventually, the cloud will receive the information to decide Machine learning.

4) Smart homes

IoT applications in smart homes benefit both convenience and home security to the next level. While there are different levels at which IoT is installed in smart homes, the best is to integrate smart and entertainment systems.

For example, a smart home system that connects with other machines to perform any specific tasks and is operated by remote control. An electric meter with an IoT device will give you insight into daily water use. As IoT changes, we can be sure that most devices will be smarter, enabling improved home security.

5) Wearables

Visual mirrors, seat belts to monitor for example calorie and heart rate monitoring, or GPS tracking belts, are some of the examples of wearable devices. Companies such as Google, Apple, Samsung, and others have developed the Internet of Things and its use in our daily lives. These are small and efficient devices, equipped with sensors, and the necessary hardware for measurement and reading, as well as software for collecting and organizing data and information about users.
